TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

The Petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House: • That an eastern based route for the Tugun Bypass is an unviable and dangerous solution to the traffic bottleneck at Tugun and Bilinga. • That a bypass on the western side of the airport is the only route which actually moves traffic out of Tugun and Bilinga.

Your petitioners request the House: Demand that the Queensland Government immediately cease all planning on the proposed eastern based bypass and urgently resume negotiations with the New South Wales Government with a view to constructing a Bypass on the western side of the airport, as was previously agreed by all parties involved.
