The petition of certain residents in the Innisfail area draws to the attention of the House that the school gates at the Innisfail State High School (ISHS) remain open during lunch hours for students to cross the road to access lunches.

Your petitioners therefore request the House to ask the Honourable Minister for Education to take the necessary steps to ensure that students attending ISHS be permitted to cross the road to use the services of Cathy’s Corner Café (which is situated directly across from the school entrance) during normal lunch breaks and also before and after school.
