TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the Fitzgibbon Urban Development Area Development Scheme, namely the development of Precinct 1 situated on the former QUT site.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to ensure the Government properly consults with residents in the subject area who are directly affected by the development plans. Consultation must not be limited to Community News leaflet drops. It must be a genuine consultation process where concerns are heard and there is opportunity to influence outcomes for the local area
