TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the high volumes of traffic on Fryar Road and request that as a matter of urgency, flashing lights be placed in a conspicuous position to alert drivers that the Eagle South State School is in close proximity.
Sadly, every year, young people lose their lives in Queensland on our roads, whilst they are travelling to and from school.
It is important therefore that we do more to raise the awareness of drivers, around primary schools that experience high volumes of through traffic.
Your petitioners therefore request the House, as a matter of urgency, to install flashing lights to be placed in a conspicuous position.
