TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
Queensland Residents draws to the attention of the House that the Caloundra South Development will leave rate payers of the Sunshine Coast Regional Council with a $500 million burden. It also poses environmental impacts on the Pumicestone Passage and the Ramsar Wetlands.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to give planning authority back to the Sunshine Coast Regional Council and ensure that all necessary infrastructure is in place before homes are constructed on the site.
