TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
The petition of citizens of the Queensland draws to the attention of the House the concern of the community that the tenure of the current Gladstone Health Community Council concludes on 30 June 2011 and the ongoing need for community representation to remain within Queensland Health.
Your petitioners therefore request the House to ensure that in any review of the Health Council structure that Health Community Councils are retained or that strong community representation is included in any restructured Queensland Health system.
