Paper Petition

The petition of Queensland citizens affected by the Lang Park parking plan, draws the attention of the House to the lack of resident/community input into the Lang Park Parking Permit Plan. Even though there is a process of community consultation and feedback in place, the following requests made by the majority of residents (as evidenced in this petition) have been refuted and the group has been advised that council will not consider them.

Your petitioners therefore request the House to ensure that the city council consider the aspect of: mobility of permits for permit holders (ensuring we can freely move around the proposed catchment on match days, not just restricted to our street) and consider a 15 minute time constraint as opposed to 5 minutes in finalising the permit plan for the benefit of residents.
