TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the approval, either in principal or outright, by the Boonah Shire Council of the proposed 200,000 bird poultry farm development in Sawmill Road, Aratula. This development is not conducive to the amenity of our area as it is within approx 750 metres of both the central business area and residents of the township of Aratula.
Your petitioners therefore request the House to urgently intervene on our behalf to prevent the Boonah Shire Council from approving this development without community consultation.
