TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the degraded state of Noosa River.Lack of proper regulation and confusion over responsibility has resulted in erosion and clutter on the waterway. Many dilapidated and half-sunken craft now litter the river. A former car ferry floats unmanned, unlit and unanchored on Lake Cooroibah. These crafts are not only an eyesore but a danger to river users.

Your petitioners therefore request the House to take immediate action to remove these dangerous and unsightly craft and to fully implement in its entirety to completion, the Noosa River Plan.
