To: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland This Petition of the residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the need for there to be adequate notification provided to interested parties before closure of the Moreton Sugar Mill to ensure that there are alternatives in place to protect the future of the sugar industry on the Sunshine Coast.
Your petitioners therefore request the House to introduce legislation to provide such protection.
