To the Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland The petition of the following residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House our concerns as to the potential quality of life and environmental impact of the proposed Paradise Lagoons livestock feedlot, on Nine Mile Road, Alton Downs. We object to a feedlot of this size and nature being developed in such close proximity to homes and properties as well as to Rockhampton’s water storage facility.
Your petitioners therefore request the House to ensure that relevant government departments take seriously the concerns of residents and do everything in their power to see that this proposal does not proceed.
