The petition of the following residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the inadequate number of police officers currently provided by Queensland Police to service the township and surrounding areas of the central Queensland town of Dysart.

Your petitioners therefore request the House to: 1. Direct the Minister for Police to review police numbers allocated to Dysart with the view to increasing the number of officers attached to the Dysart police station on a permanent basis; 2. Direct the Minister for Police to ensure relief is provided for Dysart officers on leave at all times.
