Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the urgent need for an Ambulance Station at Rollingstone. Presently, the nearest stations are Ingham Station and the Northern Beaches Station at Black River, leaving a 93 kilometre section along the Bruce Highway between stations.

According to the 2021 Census, the total population of the surrounding area of Rollingstone, including Balgal Beach, Mutarnee, Paluma and Coolbie, is 1,448 people.

Information from the Queensland Road Crash Database, indicates the stretch of road between Ingham and Black River Ambulance Stations has witnessed several road traffic accidents resulting in the need for emergency assistance from the Queensland Ambulance Service. Since 2013, there has been a total of 321 casualties in this stretch of the highway, with a total of 18 fatalities and 195 people hospitalised.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to consider the urgent need for an Ambulance Station at Rollingstone. The establishment of a dedicated Ambulance Station at Rollingstone is crucial to ensure timely emergency medical response for residents and travellers in this region.
