Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the urgent need for a public hospital and health precinct redevelopment at the Baillie Henderson site in Toowoomba. It is well recognised that the current state of the Toowoomba Hospital building is past its intended use by date and as the second largest inland city in Australia residents should have access to World Class Health Facilities. As committed to by Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and then Health Minister Steven Miles in 2018. As such it is essential that this area is properly serviced by appropriate medical infrastructure.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all within its power to facilitate redevelopment of the Toowoomba Hospital at the Baillie Henderson site as a matter of urgency.
