Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House, regular salt-water inundation of the causeway between Chelsea Road, Ransome and the Lota Creek Boardwalk connection to Whites Rd, Lota. This is the principal active transport connection between The Redlands local government area and the Brisbane suburbs of Lota, Manly, Wynnum, etc. It forms part of the Moreton Bay Cycleway.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to coordinate with Brisbane City Council to upgrade the Chelsea Road causeway and Lota Creek Boardwalk so it remains passable at high tide, or provide an alternative off-road walking and cycling connection between Thornside and Lota - for example along the Cleveland Rail alignment.
