To the Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland. The petition of the residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the application of a brothel to be developed at Parkhurst, North Rockhampton, Queensland. Your petitioners therefore request the House to amend the Prostitution Legislation in order to prevent the authorisation of a brothel to go ahead at Parkhurst due to its very close proximity to the thoroughfare of school children to and from school.
