The petition of citizens of Queensland draws to the attention of the House that access to the Moreton Bay Islands, including North Stradbroke Island is expensive and time consuming and with the growing population more stress shall be put on Moreton Bay Park.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to consider permission for the funding and building of a toll bridge by private enterprise to North Stradbroke Island, from the mainland via Russell Island. Millions of dollars in tourism could be gained by this project.
