The petition of electors of the Division of Broadwater draws to the attention of the House the lack of and reduced services which the bus route 711 has provided since its inception on January 20, 2014.

Your petitioners therefore request the House to increase the service of route 711 by extending the route to Broadbeach through Surfers Paradise from Southport, offering half-hourly services during peak hour and extending the route's service from 5:50pm till midnight. These changes will allow users to attend community events such as ANZAC Day commemorations, airport transfer buses, medical appointments and employment opportunities.
