This petition of residents of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the proposed introduction of fluoride to water supplies in Queensland. As proposed, consumption of fluoride will be forced upon the population despite evidence that it is potentially extremely harmful to health and wellbeing. The plans, as announced, will leave the vast majority of Queenslanders with no option but to consume contaminated drinking water. Alternative methods such as fluoride tablets are available and provide freedom of choice to consumers. Your petitioners therefore request the House to bring an immediate stop to the planned contamination of this State’s water supplies with fluoride.
