• The complete disregard and lack of notification provided to the Sumner Park / Jamboree Heights community about the permanent closure of Bullockhead Street, proposed in July 2008, which is a result of the Centenary Highway Interchange currently under construction. • That the alternative access to Sumner Park following the closure of Bullockhead Street for large vehicle access is via Sumner Road and Spine Street, is unsafe, will place lives at risk, is untested with practical tests on a daily basis for large vehicles, poses serious safety issues for the safe entry and exit of emergency vehicles during any accident / incident, and is a Work Place Health and Safety issue for Sumner Park Businesses and Employees. Your petitioners therefore request the House to maintain the Bullockhead Street access to Sumner Park until a safe alternative entry & exit from Sumner Park is established.
