TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House, the need for the Queensland State Government to prioritise and secure construction funding for the next stages of the Coomera Connector between Shipper Drive, Coomera, and Eggersdorf Road, Ormeau, of approximately 13 kilometres and involving 3 additional interchanges.

The Coomera Connector will play a vital role in easing traffic congestion, enhancing connectivity, and fostering economic growth in the region. As well, the completion of this crucial infrastructure project is imperative for the well-being of our community.

With the rapid population growth in the Northern Gold Coast, existing road networks are becoming increasingly strained, leading to congestion, delays, and safety concerns for commuters and residents alike. The further extension of the Coomera Connector is not just a matter of convenience but a necessity for maintaining the quality of life and ensuring efficient transportation for current and future generations.

Therefore, we urge the Queensland State Government to allocate the necessary funding and urgently seek Federal Funding, to expedite the construction of the next stages of the Coomera Connector.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all in its power to ensure the Queensland State Government to act promptly and decisively in securing the funding required for the Coomera Connector's extension as outlined, between Shipper Drive, Coomera, and Eggersdorf Road, Ormeau. Our community's safety, wellbeing and mobility depend on it.
