TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
The Petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the Toobeah Reserve was transferred without consultation. We ask the Premier to review the process, suspend the transfer, and restore fair, lawful and transparent land governance in Queensland.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all within its power to cause an independent review of the Toobeah transfer, suspend its legal effect and the Indigenous Land Use Agreement, and honour the Premier's commitment to repeal treaty in Queensland.
