The Auditor-General’s report was tabled on 23 June 2020.

This audit assessed whether the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) effectively regulates the building industry by issuing and managing licenses in a fair and balanced way.

The Auditor-General has made 11 recommendations to help QBCC become a stronger and more effective regulator.

Referral

The Auditor-General’s report was referred, under Standing Order 194B, to the former Transport and Public Works Committee (56th Parliament).

The Transport and Resource Committee has resolved to continue the inquiry.
