TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
The petition of residents of the State of Queensland and electors of the Bundaberg Electorate draws to the attention of the House that the State Government plans to construct a medium to high density housing development on a parcel of land on Hillvue Crescent, Bundaberg, which is inconsistent with existing residential development in the suburb. Your petitioners therefore request the House to call on the government to instruct the Department of Housing to urgently re-examine the proposed public housing development with the view to maintaining the aesthetic qualities of the existing residential development which is low density living consisting of individual or detached residences.
