Queensland citizens draws to the attention of the House that due to the expense in obtaining an hard copy of the draft EIS for the proposed dam at Traveston Crossing and the difficulties associated with the electronic copies, it is extremely unfair to expect the public to be able to prepare a submission on the draft EIS by the 3rd December 2007 when there is over 1600 pages of information and 2 volumes of technical data to be considered. Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to an extension of the public comment period for the draft EIS by at least an additional 4 weeks until Monday 31st December 2007.
