The petition of citizens of the State of Queensland draws the attention of the House to the very limited choice of education for the residents of Mt Crosby, Karana Downs, Karalee and Chuwar due to the Government's recent decision to ban children from these areas attending Kenmore State High School. The ban will effectively force many students of primary schools in the Moggill electorate (that are currently feeder schools of Kenmore) to travel elsewhere to attend high school. Your petitioners call on the Government to allow families resident in Mt Crosby, Karana Downs, Karalee and Chuwar continue to be allowed access to Kenmore State High School. Your petitioners also call on the government to plan as soon as possible the construction of a new high school within this area (Mt Crosby, Karana Downs, Karalee and Chuwar) to service the needs of the many children within this growth area.
