TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
Queensland Citizens draws to the attention of the House the imminent closure of the Palliative Care Ward at the Robina Hospital and move to the Pacific Private Clinic at Southport.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to immediately reopen the Palliative Care Unit at the Robina Hospital and not leave it until the year 2010 to allow for the people of the Robina area and Gold Coast region to receive the appropriate care for their terminally ill friends and family.
