This petition of residents draws to the attention of the Premier Hon Peter Beattie to the need for Queensland Rail and State Government of Queensland to compensate for the loss of trees and environmental and social values associated with the Altandi to Kuraby Rail upgrade. Your petitioners ask the Premier to: (a) Support the revegetation plans submitted to Qld Rail by the Bulimba Creek Catchment Coordinating Committee. (b) Ensure efforts are adequate to restore the natural environment and community well being where possible. (c) Create solutions to wildlife corridor protection and enhancement by creating wildlife movement solutions on strategic areas of Beenleigh Road.
