The Petition of citizens of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the application for an amendment to a development approval for a Soil Conditioner Manufacturing business located at 262 Chevallum Road Palmwoods. We believe that the approval of the application will result in 1. an increase in the scale and intensity of the business. 2. an increase in the scale and intensity of offensive odours that emanate from the property. 3. possible environmental damage if a major flood were to occur in the area, as the property is in the vicinity of the catchment of Eudlo Creek. 4. an increase in the scale and intensity of noise on the property. Your petitioners therefore request the House to reject the application.
