Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the devastating effects of Myodil and other oil based and water contrast dyes left remaining in the spinal canal after a Myelogram or other procedure resulting in chemically induced adhesive arachnoiditis or arachnoiditis. Your petitioners therefore request the State Government initiate a public enquiry into the use of the above dyes and establish a foundation for sufferers to cover their costs of ongoing medical conditions and requirements and request Government at all levels to take such action so as to provide compensation and medical cover for sufferers.
