TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the Queensland Chief Health Officer should have adequate, first-hand experience with Queensland and the Queensland Health System. The Government should not appoint a Chief Health Officer from outside Queensland.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all it can within its power to ensure that anyone appointed as Queensland Chief Health Officer must have worked and resided in Queensland for at least ten continuous years prior to appointment.
