Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House that many parking signs on state roads within the Department of Transport and Main Roads North Coast District are dirty or so badly faded and cannot be read in daylight let alone at night. Some signs are required to be reflective under the Manual of Uniform traffic Devices due to no or inadequate street lighting. Those signs in front of Australia Zoo are a prime example of faded and non-reflective signs.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to take action to have to have all traffic signs on state controlled road and highways inspected both in daylight and at night and be rectified without any further delay.
