TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the past three petitions (3454-21; 3354-20 and 3306-20) requesting a merge lane at the intersection of King Street and D’Aguilar Highway has been refused due to the lack of departmental funding.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to reduce the spending on football games and the Olympic Games and allocate additional funding on the D’Aguilar Highway for a merge lanes at the intersections where of King Street and Williams Road joins the D’Aguilar Highway. As a temporary measure we request that both intersection’s Give Way signs be replaced with Stop signs until both merge lanes are installed.
