TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the Queensland State Government's plan to extend their Light Rail south along the Gold Coast Highway - through Palm Beach, Currumbin and Tugun.
This construction will have many major impacts on local residents and small businesses.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to call on the State Transport Minister to immediately hold a public meeting in Palm Beach to genuinely listen to local residents and answer their questions.
