TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the situation regarding the current inadequacies (having regard to tidal and weather conditions) of marine access at Forrest Beach and Cassady Beach, Allingham, Hinchinbrook Shire Queensland.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all within its power to:

  1. Acknowledge the need for improved marine access at Forrest Beach foreshore and/or Cassady’s Beach
  2. Acknowledge the need for the relocation of the existing boat ramp at Cassady Beach, Hinchinbrook as a means of improving marine access
  3. Commission all necessary studies to facilitate the improvement of the existing location for marine access at Forrest Beach and/or the construction of a new marine access and road access at Cassady Beach, Allingham adjacent to the foreshore; and
  4. Fund the construction of the improved access at Forrest Beach and/or new marine access and related infrastructure at Cassady Beach Allingham, Queensland.
