TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the safety of the primary school children walking to and from Ripley Valley State School. There are a large number of vulnerable aged students who use either the pathway having two entry and exit points for vehicles or young children running ahead or carelessly crossing a main road where approaching high traffic flow just to enter the school grounds.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to make it a priority to install pedestrian crossings at both car park entry points where there currently is a walkway and a pedestrian crossing is needed at the point where the path meets the road which is directly across from where homes are located.
