Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House last year it was fires throughout the country and this year it is flooding rains. Science has shown incontrovertible evidence that these are caused by climate change and climate change is caused by us.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to declare a climate crisis. Act to close coal, oil and gas power stations as soon as possible. Follow the USA and Europe in banning petrol and diesel vehicles this decade. Stop land clearing immediately, if you need cleared land buy the land already cleared. Ban wood and coal burning in homes, indoors and outdoors immediately.
