The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the level of noise pollution of the rail trains as they travel along the Redcliffe rail line to and from Kallangur Railway Station. The current noise abatement barriers stop at Esperance Park resulting in excessive train noise between Esperance Park Murrumba Downs and the Kallangur Train Station.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House that the Minister for Transport and Main Roads, Treasurer and Minister for Investment consider and budget for noise abatement barriers to be installed along the rail line extending the existing barrier to and between Esperance Park and Kallangur Train Station.
