TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the unsafe intersection at Moodlu where King Street meets the D’Aguilar Highway. Both being State controlled Roads whereas the highway is signed posted at 100 kph and King Street at 60 kph with a give way sign at the intersection.  The intersection is on a curve in the highway which severely restricts vision of oncoming traffic of which many are heavy laden quarry trucks including loaded trailers travelling at or near the speed limit of 100 kph.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to take immediate action to make Lord Lane left in and left out with double white lines on D’Aguilar Highway and install a merge lane from King Street to allow vehicles travelling west towards Wamuran to gain the adequate speed to merge with traffic travelling at 100 kph safely.
