The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the disrepair of the Boonah-Rathdowney Road, which is currently a narrow, winding, single lane road with steep road verges on either side. This road is utilised not only by residents but is an important road link for heavy vehicles, supporting the surrounding industries including cattle and equine, timber, crop farming, lucerne, barley and other grains.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to urgently undertake upgrading of Boonah-Rathdowney Road, in particular from Musgrave Bridge to be double lane to Maroon.
