TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
Queensland citizens draws to the attention of the House the need to ensure that a disability support pension can be accepted as suitable income for a mortgage so that people on disability support pensions can have access to the great Australian dream of buying an owner-occupied property, because they are being discriminated against in more than one way.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to enable people on disability support pensions to be eligible for a mortgage.
