Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House a particularly dangerous section of East Road, North Stradbroke Island. This section of road is on a blind hill that is narrowed by a guardrail, and squeezes cars/trucks/buses and cyclists into a narrow roadway. It is just a matter of time before a serious accident happens in this area.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to request the Department of Transport and Main Roads work on:

1. Guard rail needs removing on uphill west side section of Tip (Transfer Station) Hill.
2. Add road widening for motorists/cyclists in section about 200 metres long.
