TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Electors of the Division of Caloundra draws to the attention of the House the increasing level of traffic and lack of pedestrian safety measures in the vicinity of Caloundra City Private School, located on Pelican Waters Blvd, Pelican Waters. The school zone has no 40km flashing-light signage, zebra crossings, crossing guards or other traffics lights, making this a difficult area for young students and families to navigate safely.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to install 40km flashing-light signage combined with pedestrian crossings to ensure the safety of school children and other pedestrians travelling to and from Caloundra City Private School that will meet current and future populations' needs.
