TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the movement restrictions on vehicles using the Pialba-Burrum Heads Road and Serenity Drive/Drury Lane intersection. This matter has been raised by the community previously with the Department of Transport and Main Roads and the Fraser Coast Regional Council with no acceptable outcome. Currently vehicles heading south on Serenity Drive towards the intersection ae forced to turn left at the traffic lights at the Pialba-Burrum Heads road into a schools zone contributing to further congestion in the area. You cannot turn right into the Pialba-Burrum Heads Road or go straight ahead into Drury Lane.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to instruct the Department of Transport and Main Roads and the Fraser Coast Regional Council to reconfigure the traffic lights and other road infrastructure there to allow all possible turns and traffic direction.
