The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the lack of community consultation in relation to the multi-million dollar restoration of cyclone-damaged Shute Harbour.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to take steps to reopen the Shute Harbour boat ramp and adjacent pontoon until such time that construction work on the ramp is imminent and for the new launch facility to be reopened to the boating public as soon as possible.
