TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the urgent need for the introduction of free vehicle registration and free licences for all Queensland aged pensioners, bringing Queensland into line with other state jurisdictions like New South Wales. Queensland aged pensioners are struggling to pay for every day basics due to the ever-increasing cost of living pressures they face, including that of increasing vehicle registration and licence fees they are being forced to endure.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all in its power to assist Queensland Aged Pensioner and introduce free vehicle registration and licences for all Queensland aged pensioners.
