Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the urgent need to construct a public hospital and emergency department facilities in the northern Gold Coast area. It is well recognised that the Coomera/Ormeau/Pimpama area is the fastest growing region in Queensland, if not Australia. This area is a well located and planned urban settlement and, as such, it is essential that this area is serviced by appropriate medical infrastructure.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do everything in its power to ensure planning and construction of a hospital in the northern Gold Coast is commenced as a matter of urgency.
