TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House concerns raised by the South Burnett community that our children are missing out on vital paediatric services due to lengthy wait times and travel requirements. We have recently lost 2 visiting Paediatricians and 1 local paediatrician and this have impacted families and children negatively.

Your petitioners therefore request the House look at providing a full time paediatric Doctor within the South Burnett to ensure all children's health needs are met and families are not disadvantaged by having to wait and travel out of their rural home towns.
