TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland citizens draws to the attention of the House the recent media reports that a significant portion of the Queensland Small Business Innovation Research fund has been spent on grants to interstate or international firms and in some instances to very large firms.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to cause an investigation into all grants, including grants to non-government organisations and non-profit organisations, to ensure that Queensland taxpayers are getting value for money and that grants are being allocated in accordance with law, policy and taxpayer expectations.
