Queensland citizens draws to the attention of the House the lack of safe and secure swimming areas at Moore Park Beach. Shark attacks and beach closures over recent years are of major concern to residents and visitors.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all within its power to ensure the construction and maintenance of a suitable enclosed swimming area to be located in the vicinity, or in front, of the Moore Park Surf Life Saving Club. Such a construction will be of benefit to residents and visitors and will be an attraction to tourists.
